Choosing an agent

Choosing to study overseas is a big decision. If you are considering using an agent to apply to UWE Bristol, the following steps will help you ensure that you pick the right one for you.

  • Before working with an agent, ensure they are an approved agent of UWE Bristol. You can find a list of UWE approved agents on your relevant country page.
  • Some recruitment agents have local offices where you can receive in-person advice. Others offer virtual support through WhatsApp and video calls. Different approaches work for different people, so be sure to understand how your agent operates before making a commitment.
  • Avoid agents whose primary motivation is to support your immigration to the UK. As UK government guidelines state, the primary purpose of your travel to the UK should be to study.

  • We recommend that you refer to the student guide to choosing an education agent to help you identify the best representative to support your application.
